About Me

My name is Catie, and I love children's literature! I have a BA in Early Childhood Education from Cedarville University (Ohio) and a Graduate Certificate in Children's Literature from Penn State. In the past five years I have taught Pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, and 1st grade at an international school in China. My experiences in a multilingual classroom give me a unique perspective on how to use literature to teach. My goal with this blog is to highlight exceptional books and give other teachers some creative and high-quality resources and ideas for using literature more effectively in the classroom. Every child can learn not only to read books but to LOVE them! As teachers, we have the awesome opportunity to show them how.
